For over three years, Alejandra Sosa has focused her legal practice on environmental law and natural resources. Alejandra has a deep understanding of the national and international environmental regulations due to her participation in several infrastructure, real estate, energy and touristic projects with environmental components. In this regard, she has advised domestic and foreign clients on mergers and acquisitions as well as project finance. Likewise, she has helped her clients design legal strategies in order for their projects to comply with the applicable environmental laws and regulations.

Alejandra has advised clients on procedures before governmental authorities to obtain environmental impact authorizations, water concessions, beach concessions and environmental permits, as well as on amparo procedures.

She has also participated as a pro-bono lawyer advising international organizations and public institutions. In this regard, she served as local expert for the World Bank providing her input on how water regulations affect the Mexican agriculture producers and advised the Mexican senate and local congresses on drafting legal reforms regarding environmental and gender matters.

Alejandra is currently an associate at Woodhouse Lorente Ludlow, S.C., where she collaborates mainly in the Energy, Environmental Law and Climate Change practices.
